A Life worth Living
The Scarlett Thread has been facilitating substance abuse programs for the past eight years in various South African prisons. At the beginning of 2016 we added to our growing list of Quality Assured programs the “A Life worth Living” program in the female prison which deals with sexual purity, identity and relationships according to God’s Word. We have seen amazing transformations in the offenders during 2016.
Our experience has shown us that un-forgiveness amongst offenders is a huge stumbling block in their restoration process. It was decided to run with the Forgiveness program from TEN (Teach every Nation). One on one counselling is being offered by trained and experienced councillors to the ladies in the female prison, many are being set free.
We have partnered with IBM South Africa who has begun to facilitate basic computer skills as well as soft skills to the offenders in the JHB Female Correctional Centre. These courses will equip the offender to assist them in seeking employment upon release.
